Two biogas plants approved at dairy colonies in Nangli and Goyla

Proposals for two biogas plants at dairy colonies in Nangli and Goyla near Delhi, have been approved by the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) to be constructed under the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model. The plants will each receive financial support of INR 3 crores. 3,500 dairies will supply both plants with 200 tonnes of cattle dung daily, to produce biogas and manure for INR 685 per tonne, as The Pioneer reported.
