The MSW treatment plant project at the Dadumajra (or Dadu Majra) landfill in Chandigarh has attracted two new bidders: Hindustan Waste Treatment Pvt Limited and Enviro Control Pvt Ltd.
Previously, three companies had applied for the project twice, but were considered unsuitable both times. The proposed plant is to have a capacity of 550 tpd, including dry and wet waste. Wet waste is to be processed into biomethane and compressed natural gas, dry waste is to be converted into RDF.
The selected company should then set up the plant within 2 years.
