Update for planned WtE plant in Astoli

News updates on the construction of a new WtE plant in Astoli, a part of the city of Noida, Uttar Pradesh, indicate that the construction of the site should be finished by 2018, even though it has not begun so far. According to the Hindustan Times, the planning process for the plant had started in 2014 and both municipal authorities of Noida and Greater Noida intend use the facility to dispose of their municipal waste, which amounts to around 660 tpd. The WtE plant is part of a 110-acre landfill site project. The landfill should start operations by the end of March 2017.
