Plans for Bandhwari WtE plant make progress

After the waste treatment plant in Bandhwari, Haryana, has been inactive due to a fire in 2013, the plan to build a WtE facility at the site seems to move forward. According to Hindustan Times, chinese waste management company Eco Green has been shortlisted as concessionaire. The final decision depends on the satisfaction of a comparable installation by Eco Green in the city of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. According to the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG), officials are currently inspecting the plant. The Bandhware facility will treat 192,000 tpy of waste and generate 9 MW of electricity.
