Further details have emerged for the tender for the Bhalswa WtE plant, which was floated earlier. The North Delhi Municipal Corporation has announced that the plant is proposed to generate 15 MWel per day. According to The Times of India, the plant will be constructed on a land space of 12 acres near the existing Bhalswa landfill site. An engineered landfill will also be constructed to cater for the residuals from the WtE plant. Furthermore, it was revealed that the civic body has floated a tender for outsourcing collection and disposal of garbage in four of its zones, namely, Karol Bagh, Keshavpuram and Narela.
