Editor As reported by The Economic Times, the proposed WtE plant in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, is said to be planned after the model of a German WtE facility in the Stuttgart region, Baden-Württemberg. Coimbatore’s city mayor was said to have recently visited a WtE plant there. According to an official of the Coimbatore Municipal Corporation (CMC), the planned facility could have a capacity of around 700 tpy. Furthermore, the source indicates that plans also provide for a waste pretreatment unit. An official announcement on Coimbatore’s WtE plans is expected for 5 August.
