Update on Ghaziabad project

As was stated by the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation (GMC), the location for the new WtE project has finally been identified. It will be the waste dumping site at Galand Village, close to the town of Pilkuwa. This was reported by the Daily Pioneer. The power generation capacity of the facility is set to lie at 15MW and the intake capacity of the new plant will amount to 480,000tpy of waste. The GMC is currently collecting segregated solid waste in 8 different wards of Ghaziabad and hopes to extend this to all of the city’s wards in the near future.
