Update on Naidupeta WtE project

As reported by The Hindu, new information is available on the Naidupeta WtE project proposed by the Guntur Municipal Corporation, Andhra Pradesh. The facility is planned to have a treatment capacity of 1,200 tpy, generating around 15 MW. According to earlier sources, a capacity of up to 2,000 tpy was considered initially. Project developer was said to be company JITF Urban Infrastructure Ltd. Waste would be delivered by the municipalities of Guntur, Vijayawada, Tenali, Mangalagiri and others. However, according to the source, it remains uncertain whether enough waste can be supplied for a plant of this size.
