The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) is moving forward with its WtE project in Narela-Bawana.

To implement the project, the MCD has concluded an agreement with the Power Grid Corporation of India concerning the relocation of two major transmission lines that cross the proposed site.

MCD is to take over the costs, which are expected to amount to INR 246 million (EUR 2.8 million), however, this still needs to be approved by the MDC’s House for Administrative Approval and Sanction of Expend. The corresponding 3,000 tpd WtE project is to be completed by the end of 2026, as further reported.
