Update on new RDF project in Tiruchi

As was reported by Nyoooz, the local government of Tiruchi has decided for a company which is to carry out the new RDF project in Tiruchi, state of Tamil Nadu. The planned RDF facility should serve as a replacement for the old local Ariyamangalam landfill, which had recently caught fire again and where too much old waste is piling up. The new plant is set to have an intake capacity of 600tpd of waste, while the city of Tiruchi produces around 450tpd of municipal waste, according to a local official. The name of the short-listed company has not yet been disclosed, but the signing of agreements for the project will be the next step.
