As reported by The Hindu, two companies have bidden for Expression of Interest (EoI) for the proposed RDF plant in Tiruchi. In a process that is expected to take three weeks, a corporation will scrutinise the profile of both companies to award the contract, which is likely to be on Build Operate and Transfer basis. The contract is expected to last for 20 years, the plant shall treat at least 600 tonnes of waste per day. The exact location of the proposed plant is Ariyamangalam garbage dump in Tiruchi, Tamil Nadu.
