Update on WtE plans of Delhi authorities

In terms of the construction of new WtE plants in the metropolitan area of Delhi, the North and South Delhi Municipal Corporations (NDMC and SDMC) have not yet reached a decision on all the locations. Whilst the SDMC plans to construct an additional WtE plant at Okhla, the NDMC is building a plant at Narela-Bawana, plans one more at Narela-Bawana and another one at Bhalswa. As further stated by Asian Age, the Narela-Bawana plant with a capacity of 24 MW should be commissioned by authorities soon and the plans for the second Okhla plant should be finalised as well. According to another source, Badapur, in the south of Delhi, seems to be a very likely location for a new WtE plant as well.
