Editor India’s Minister for Urban Development has announced a new WtE support plan. According to The Indian Express, the measure was said to aim at increasing energy generation through waste to 411 MW in 2018, up from 53 MW today, also including organic waste generation processes. To reach this goal, the Minister wants to oblige municipalities to compulsorily purchase energy generated from waste material.
