Mumbai-based company Variate Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. is interested in constructing a WtE plant in Belgavi, Karnataka, as reported by the Economic Times. By cooperating with Korean firm POSH, it wants to generate power out of the 200 tpd of waste, which are generated in the city. The Belgavi City Corporation (BCC) has to decide about the project. If realised, the generated power would be, among others, delivered to Hubli Electricity Supply Company Limited.
