WtE facility planned in Delhi

Due to the increasing problem of waste management in Delhi, Lt Governor Anil Baijal has announced that he directed the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) to expedite the construction of a WtE plant as a showcase project. As reported by the Economic Times, the plant will be able to treat 3,600 metric tons of waste per day. However, the source does not give any further details on the project. Several projects are currently being planned in the Delhi area and it is not clear whether the SDMC is already connected to one of these projects.
