Following a major fire at the Moshi landfill in Pune, questions are being raised about the status of the WtE project announced nearly five years ago.

In 2017, as part of the development plan Bhosari Vision 2020, a new WtE project was announced at Ramtekdi. The Rs 325 cr project spread over 10 acre land provided by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) will have a capacity to process 750 TPD waste to generate 13MWh power.

As per the website of VK Group which is involved in the project, the plant is still under construction.
