The MSW treatment plant project at the Dadumajra (or Dadu Majra) landfill in Chandigarh has attracted 3 bidders: Delhi MSW Solutions Limited, Enviro Control Private Limited, and Hindustan SFC Joint Venture.

The bids were received after the launch of a short-term tender, since previous bids did not qualify for the project.

The proposed plant is to have a 550 tpd capacity, including dry and wet waste. Wet waste is to be processed into biomethane and compressed natural gas and dry waste is to be converted into RDF.

The local Municipal Corporation plans to choose a contractor within a couple of days. The selected company should then set up the plant within 2 years.
