60 MW biomass plant to be developed in Punjab

Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd. has announced plans to develop a new 60 MW biomass plant in Punjab, following the closure of two thermal plants in Bathinda and Ropar with a combined capacity of 880 MW. The state has also approved the development of a new 4,000 MW thermal plant in Ropar as well as a 100 MW solar plant, as reported by Dariya News.
