Approval for 42 new urban AD plants

The Indian Ministry of Finance announced plans to build 500 new AD plants across the country, of which 75 are to be build in urban areas.

Most of the urban plants should be build in Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Maharashtra und Punjab. Permission has been granted for 42 of these new wet digestion plants that should have a total treatment capacity of 6,213 tpd of wet waste, as further stated.

The remaining 33 urban plants should be approved in the near future. Total investment costs for the 42 plants are expected to amount to INR 10.8 billion (EUR 120.72 million).
