Bidadi WtE plant to open soon

The proposed WtE plant in Bidadi, Karnataka, is expected to be operational within the next 2 to 3 months. This is according to a recent statement made by India’s Minister of Power.

The 11.5 MW plant is to process 600 tpd of dry waste. The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL) project was designed by Hitachi Zosen India Pvt Ltd.

According to the current report, the project is facing difficulties, owing to the Central Government’s decision to provide the subsidy for the project only after commissioning.
