The Chandigarh administration has approved ‘Expressions of Interest’ (EOI) and invited companies to come and build a Waste to Energy (WtE) plant in the city.
The administration has finalised the EOI, which would be called for the WtE facility, according to UT Advisor Dharam Pal, who told the Indian Express that the EOI has been approved.
The Municipal Corporation is anticipated to issue an EOI to multiple entities for the establishment of a wet and dry waste processing plant. The agencies will be allocated a budget to work with.
