Chennai approves WtE project under PPP

The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC), Tamil Nadu, has approved a project to build a WtE plant under a PPP model. The plant is to process wet waste and RDF generated in processing plants in Kodungaiyur and Perungudi.

In addition, the GCC plans to set up a bio-CNG plant plant as well as a compositing unit. More specific details about the proposed plants are not mentioned in the report.
