The Greater Chennai Corporation has announced to start a call for tenders in the next week for the construction and maintenance of three biogas plants at Pallikaranai, Sholinganallur and a former asphalt complex in Anna Nagar. As reported by The Times of India, the tenders will be worth INR 9.3 crores. The plants will process food waste to produce liquefied CNG.
