Chilakapalem biomass plant shut down

The biomass power plant in Chilakapalem, India, operated by Varam Power Projects, was shut down because the government stopped purchasing energy from the plant. According to the government, the reason for that decision is an energy surplus, which also affected other biomass plants. This was reported by The Hindu.
