According to The Times of India, the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has awarded construction works at the proposed Tekhand WtE plant. Additionally, SDMC has awarded the development of a new C&D waste plant in Bakarwala and plans to build another one in Tekhand. According to a project update in 2017, the 15 MW WtE project in Tekhand will be able to process 384,000 tonnes of waste annually.
