The source provides an update on the WtE project by Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) in Bidadi. BBMP has already signed a MoU with Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL). It is estimated that the 500 tpd plant will cost INR 200 crores (USD 28.1 million, EUR 24.63 million). Moreover, BBMP will execute a detailed project report (DPR) soon. The project is expected to start in 2020. According to information from October 2018, the plant will have a capacity of 15 MW and has already been approved by the minister of Karnataka state. Back then, it was reported that the project is expected to utilise between 500 to 1,000 tpd of RDF, to be supplied by BBMP.
