GCC plans five new AD plants in Chennai

The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) is planning to build five AD plants in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, by the end of this year.

The plants should use around a third of the wet waste generated daily in the city to produce biogas and fertiliser. They should have a total capacity of 500 tpd and produce 20,000 kg of biogas per day.
