Editor As reported by The Times of India, the newly appointed Commissioner of Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation, Dinesh Chandra, has released a statement detailing his priorities. Foremost, the dumping of civic waste following the barring of the Pratap Vihar landfill will constitute a priority in the commissioner’s work. Until the WtE plant in Galand is operational, alternative landfill sites be used. In recent months, ecoprog has reported on the Galand WtE project, for which a construction timetable is yet to be announced.
