The two WtE projects in the villages of Kannahalli and Mavallipura in the city region of Bengaluru, Karnataka, seem to be failing to attract bidders. The invitation for tenders had started in February, both plants should be able to treat 160,000 tons of waste per year. At both locations, composting plants do exist. Nevertheless, according to The Hindu, the role of composting should be minimised in favor of WtE.
