JBIC to provide loan for Bidadi Waste to Enery plant

State-owned company Power Finance Corporation (PFC) has signed an agreement with the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) on a JPY 1.85 billion (EUR 11.6 million) loan.

The loan is to be used to finance the Bidadi WtE project, Karnataka. The 600 tpd, 11.5 MW plant is a project of KPC Gas Power Corporation Ltd, a subsidiary of Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL) and is being built by Hitachi Zosen India Pvt Ltd.

According to earlier information, the plant is expected to be operational in October 2023.
