Maruti Suzuki plans new biogas plants for factories

Automobile company Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has announced plans to set up biogas plants at all its factories, including sites in Manesar, Gurgaon, Gujarat, and Kharkoda.

As stated in the report, in Gujarat, the company is considering to set up a plant jointly with Amul, the Gujarat Milk Marketing Federation. For other locations, MSIL is considering using both agricultural waste and industrial waste to fuel the plants. The company did not provide further technical details of project schedules for the plants.
