As reported by The Hindu, the city of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, has announced plans to build multiple MRFs. The planned MRFs are part of a draft action plan the city had prepared. This was ordered by the Indian National Green Tibunal, as the city does not comply with several environmental norms in waste management.
