Following increasing pollution of the Kallai River, Kozhikode Corporation plans to implement several measures to improve the local waste management. According to The Times of India, the plan includes construction of an INR 250 crore WtE facility in Njeliyanparamba. The measures have been submitted to the state’s pollution control board and now await permission.
