Nashik to hire private agency to clear C&D waste

The Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) has floated a tender to hire a private agency to clear construction and demolition (C&D) waste in the city. The agency will also be responsible for recycling the waste at a location provided by the civic body.

According to The Times of India, the contractor will be allowed to sell the debris to paver block makers for reuse. The waste that cannot be recycled will be transported to specified dumping grounds.
