New Biomass to Energy plant coming to Ganeshnagar

Power producer Hutah Industries is moving forward with plans to build a biomass power plant in the AK Industrial Village in Ganeshnagar, Nagaland.

The plant should generate 10 MWel of electricity in a moving grate boiler, which should be fuelled with bamboo. Construction should be completed within 24 months. A PPA has been signed with the Government of Nagaland to buy the electricity produced by the plant.

According to the source, Hutah Industries is planning to invest INR 9.1 bilion (EUR 101.77 million) for the project over the next 3 years.
