The Pune Municipal Corporation has proposed the construction of a 750 tpd WtE and RDF facility in the city of Pune, Maharashtra. The facility should produce electricity (13 MW), compost and RDF. The plan should soon be presented to politicians and the residents. The civic body hopes to begin the project within the next 22 to 24 months. In the past, news on WtE projects by other stakeholders in the city were published. However, it is not clear in how far the mentioned project refers to one of them. This was reported by the Times of India.
