According to The Times of India, the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) has determined a deadline for the Okhla WtE plant to reduce its pollutants emissions. Specifically, the plant has to reach a particulate matter emission level of 30 mg/NM3 until December 2016. Until then, the 470,000 tpy plant will be operational on a provisional basis. With its decision, the DPCC has followed a ruling by India’s National Green Tribunal (NGT) on a petition filed by local residents.
