Plans for AD plant in Jalandhar approved

A new biogas project has been announced to be built on a 2.5 acre site on the grounds of the Jamsher Dairy Complex in Jalandhar, Punjab, reported The Tribune. Construction of the 1 MW plant is estimated to be completed in late 2019 and will supply electricity to Powercom, a dairy and telecommunications company. Additionally, biogas will be supplied to surrounding villages. An effluent treatment plant will also be constructed once the AD project is completed, as the dairy has no separate drainage system.
