Additional information has been published on the proposal for a Waste-to-Energy project in the city of Kozhikode, Kerala, that was announced earlier this year. Kozhikode Corporation sent a proposal to Partner Kerala Mission, Kerala’s State government initiative for PPP projects. As reported by The Hindu, there are currently two options. The first options seems to provide for a biogas plant running on organic waste with another waste gasification unit for non-biodegradable waste. The second option provides for a Waste-to-Energy plant (apparently without an AD unit).
