Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) intends to set up a CBG plant at the Haibowal Dairy Complex in Ludhiana, Punjab.

As part of the so-called Buddha Nullah Rejuvenation Project, the future plant should be used for the “scientific disposal” of the cattle dung coming from the dairy complex, as stated in the source.

The plant capacity is supposed to reach about 4.8 ton of CBG. As a backup, the plant should also be able to process vegetable waste, municipal segregated green waste, agro-waste and further biodegradable waste fractions.

PEDA has invited an electronic tender for the plant construction. The closing date to submit bis is 26 October 2022.
