Thathaneri AD plant to receive waste from farmer’s market

The integrated vegetable market complex in Madurai will start to convert its vegetable waste into manure and also supply the AD plant at the crematorium in Thathaneri, Tamil Nadu Province, as reported by The Times of India. The biogas of the plant replaces wood in the crematorium to burn corpses. The plant will receive approximately 2 tpd of feedstock from the market, which generates about 3 to 4 tons of waste daily. The rest is deposited in a composting yard near the market.
