Transfer stations in Gurugram to be equipped with sorting technology

According to an official, 3 of 8 transfer stations proposed for the city are already operational across Gurugram. The 3 stations are located at DLF Phase-V, Atul Kataria Chowk and Beri Wala Bagh. They have a combined capacity of transferring 300 tpd of solid waste. Also, another 3 are expected to be ready in 2 months, reported The Hindu. The other transfer stations will be located near HSIIDC office, Sector 29, Carterpuri Gaushala, Kadipur and Tekri. According to Ecogreen Energy, the stations are installed to manually sort out mixed waste and transport refuse to the proposed Bandhwari WtE plant which is – according to the source – scheduled to become operational by next August.
