Two more CBG plants for Punjab in 2022

According to the Times of India, two additional CGB plants running on paddy straw are expected to start operations by year-end.

One facility using 5,000 tonnes of paddy straw is planned to be erected in the Ghungrali Rajputan village of Khanna in Ludhiana. The second facility is planned in the Malaheri village of Fatehgarh Sahib, gathering 30,000 tonnes of paddy straw.

According to the report, the first biomass CBG plant in Punjab was put into operation in April 2022 in the Bhutal Kalan village of Lehragaga in Sangrur. Currently, this plant is working at 30% capacity and produces six tonnes of CBG.
