Two more sorting plants for Indore

The Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC), which has recently started the installation of a MRF in Devguradia, plans to set up two more 150 tpd MRFs in Sirpur and Kabitkhedi. The IMC wants to have them installed by the end of the year. The Devguradia plant is expected to go into operation in September. To minimise financial burden on the IMC, a public-private partnership (PPP) model will be adopted for the two new plants. Investment sums for the Sirpur and Kabitkhedi plants were not disclosed, but The Times of India states the cost for the Devguradia plant is estimated to be INR 20 crores.
