The Greater Chennai Corporation’s (GCC) project to construct a WtE plant in Kodungaiyur, Chennai, under a PPP model is expected to be commissioned in 2 years.
According to earlier sources, the plant is to process wet waste and RDF generated from treatment plants in Kodungaiyur and Perungudi. Reportedly, the WtE plant is to generate 12 MW.
