Waste management pilot project proposed in Punjab

According to The Tribune, in a presentation to the Governor of Punjab, the representatives of ICL Waste Tech Limited proposed a cost-free waste management pilot project. This project will involve the conversion of solid waste into pellets using a 20-ton capacity plant. The company claimed that the pellets have higher calorific value than coal. Furthermore, it was reported that the said technology will only require segregation of metal and not of dry and wet waste.
