The implementation of a Waste to Energy plant in Vadodara Municipality, Gujarat is delayed.

As the source indicates, the plant by Abelan Clean Energy Ltd. should have been operational by December 2021. Furthermore, Abelan Clean Energy was responsible for processing of waste at the site, but this has been only partly fulfilled. According to the source, the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has extended the contract until 2023 following a recommendation from the Gujarat state government.
